Most people think of tree-hugging hippies when they hear the word “granola,” but you shouldn’t let that steer you away from this quick, easy, and (nearly) failproof snack!
This is a great basic granola recipe, and I’m most excited to try variations of it soon. Luckily, I’ve found that one recipe of it disappears quickly; hence, it looks like I’ll have plenty of opportunities to experiment with different flavors and additions. So far, on my personal granola flavor wishlist, I’ve got black pepper granola, bourbon bacon granola, and honey Jack granola!

So being the dog lover I am, I wanted to make treats from scratch for my dogs & my bf’s dog. I’m guessing that dog treats, like human treats, taste better if they’re made with fresh, natural ingredients (not to mention the dash of love added to everything homemade). I didn’t do a taste test, but the canines have yet to complain! :)

Combining nuts and honey, baklava combines sweet and savory into a sinfully delicious bite-size dessert. It’s an easy crowd-pleaser that takes time, but not a lot of skill to make.
