just your basic granola

Posted on Apr 18, 2012 in Foodie

Most people think of tree-hugging hippies when they hear the word “granola,” but you shouldn’t let that steer you away from this quick, easy, and (nearly) failproof snack!

This is a great basic granola recipe, and I’m most excited to try variations of it soon. I’ve been cooking and baking more than I ever and each time I try something new, the result is amazing. Red velvet cupcakes = delish! Fluffy frosting made from scratch = decadent!

So being the dog lover I am, I wanted to make treats from scratch for my dogs & my bf’s dog. My family doesn’t pride itself on many dishes, but one thing I’ve always found disappointing at restaurants is wontons. Like most comfort foods, it’s simple to make and without a doubt, seriously delicious.

Simple Baklava

Posted on Jan 22, 2010 in Foodie, Writer Bunny

My first stab at documenting an attempt at baking. Unabashedly inspired by my friend Heather (@heathermessing) and the Butter + Cream Blog (http://butterpluscream.blogspot.com/).  Hope you enjoy!

Combining nuts and honey, baklava combines sweet and savory into a sinfully delicious bite-size dessert.  It’s an easy crowd-pleaser that takes time, but not a lot of skill to make.
